In line with the announcement of the federal government of Nigeria, this is to announce that the wearing of face mask in open spaces on campus, which hitherto was compulsory, is now optional.

The Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 (PSC), had made the announcement through Dr Muktar Muhammed, the Head of the Technical Secretariat, and Secretary of the PSC on COVID-19, who stated that “countries across the world have started relaxing COVID-19 measures “.

The University however cautions staff, students and visitors to the University, to observe the relaxation with a great sense of responsibility.
